3.1 Game times
During a match, each game will be separated by a 5-minute break. The official start time of each subsequent game is set to five (5) minutes after the end of the previous game.3.2 Rescheduling
Changing a match time is only possible under exceptional circumstances, and has to be confirmed by the match Coordinators. In the case of a technical issue on our end, the problem will have to be resolved in the subsequent 30 minutes; if not resolved after this period, the match will be postponed to a later date agreed upon by both teams, as well as the Coordinator.A match cannot be rescheduled because of a participant's late arrival or unavailability. If a Substitute is not available to replace the missing participant during the match setup phase (prior to the match's official start time), the team will be disqualified for non-attendance.3.3 Punctuality
We recommend that teams be online 30 minutes prior to the official start time to provide ample time to enter the custom game lobby and get ready. 5 members from the team's lineup must be in the lobby at the stated time. Fewer than five members will not constitute a valid team.If a valid team is not in the lobby 15 minutes after the match's start time, the team Captain must contact the Coordinator via Skype or WeChat so that the Coordinator can enter the game and confirm that the team has failed to show. The match cannot start until all Team Members are ready. If one member is still missing after fifteen (15) minutes, the team will be forced to forfeit.3.4 Ending
A game is finished when the base is destroyed, when one of the teams surrenders, or when the Coordinators decide it is over.A game can be interrupted before its rightful end if rules are violated by any of the participants. A rule violation section is available below for more details.
4. RULE VIOLATIONS & PUNISHMENT
Cheating or hacking is defined as any exploit that is beyond what is considered an intended game mechanic. Any cheating or hacking will automatically disqualify the team for the rest of the tournament. If such an event occurs unnoticed by the match Coordinators, screenshots or a replay should be provided to the organizers as proof.Breaking the rules or ignoring the orders of a Coordinator may result in punishment for a whole team or a specific player. The type and amount is chosen by the Coordinator. All of the following may result in disqualification upon the Coordinator's discretion:
- Any team accused of and proven to have used any hacks, cheats, etc.
- Any team displaying poor sportsmanship.
- Use of a player not on your provided team lineup.
- Players using an in-game name on the original roster with a different player playing on the account (a.k.a. account sharing).
- Intentionally feeding/throwing the game for the purpose of allowing the other team to win.
- Making use of any bugs, bots, etc.
- The Coordinator has discretion over any matters not covered here.
- If disqualified, a team forfeits its right to any prizes.
- If any other infraction, for which disqualification is considered too harsh, occurs, the Coordinator will follow the Escalation path at their discretion: Warning – Game loss – Match loss (disqualification).
5. TECHNICAL ISSUES (Disconnection/Lag/Desynchronization)
In the event that a player disconnects from the game, the match will continue with the team at a disadvantage, and the result of the game will count. One exception: If a disconnect occurs prior to the game's 5th minute of play, AND if the score is still at 0-0 with all towers up for both teams, then the match may be restarted with the exact same Heroes and players on both teams. In the event of a desynchronized game, the match will be restarted with the same players and same Heroes for both teams. Proof of desynchronization must be provided to the Coordinators. There is only one restart request allowed per team, per match.
